About Us
The Aviation Safety and Security Association is a subsidiary of the Diversified Training Company. DTC is a consulting and training organization that is interested in providing knowledge to others. The Aviation Safety and Security Association was formed in a partnership with pilots and flight attendants. We have developed multiple aviation safety & security courses with the goal of empowering crewmembers with important training and knowledge in this new age of air transportation. A benefit to this service is that the traveling public will feel more confident in the airline, corporation, or charter company they choose to fly.
The purpose of founding ASSA was to create and grow an organization focused on furthering airline security/safety with a distinct emphasis on factors directly impacting flight crews. We, the founders, are committed to the continual development of our personal and collective education and skills to provide the ability to develop original ideas and unique concepts to improve airline safety/security, human factors and CRM through coordinated teamwork. We commit to being relentless in our continual probing of airline safety/security issues for weaknesses, and then proposing realistic, attainable solutions for improvement.
We endeavor to make ASSA an international source of experienced and knowledgeable experts on airline security/safety issues, human factors, and CRM. To accomplish this goal we will:
Contribute our knowledge through published articles and books on airline security/safety issues, human factors, CRM and other important subjects.
Give presentations and interviews on airline security/safety issues, human factors and CRM for aircrews and/or other aviation professionals, as well other interested parties.
Develop courses of study for airline security/safety issues, human factors and CRM for aircrews and/or other professions.
Conduct research on airline security/safety, human factors and CRM issues.
Conduct quality assurance audits in areas of airline security, safety, and human factors.
In recognizing the magnitude of this effort, we commit to the development and encouragement of others who share our commitments as we strive to produce leaders in the fields of airline security/safety, human factors and CRM who will serve to perpetuate our endeavors in the decades to come.
Our aviation security experts are all either currently employed, recently retired, or formerly employed by major airlines as pilots, flight attendants, or emergency trainers. Our professional staff has extensive experience in military aviation, major airlines, regional airlines, general aviation, cockpit resource management (CRM), law enforcement, personal protection, emergency first aid, course development and implementation.
