Physical Defense - How To Defend Against An Attack
2 hour presentation course (or, tailored to the customer’s needs)
Our desire is not to teach crews to become martial arts experts, but to give them some ideas in which to demonstrate a few carefully chosen, effective methods of self-defense. The presentation depicts a step-by-step approach to self-defense within the confines of an airliner. Simple, easy, but effective techniques will demonstrate that crewmembers have the ability to defend themselves from an initial attack, enlist the aid of others, signal an alert (verbal or whistle), and buy time for the pilots to get the aircraft safely down on the ground.
An integral part of self-defense training is awareness, mental preparation, tactical advantage, willingness and ability to act when needed. We advocate that crewmembers should avoid placing themselves in a position of attack. However, running away from a confrontation on a commercial airliner may be at times impractical and a crewmember may need to take a stand in self-defense.
This presentation shows a single female flight attendant defending against unarmed and armed attacks.
